Ruth McCann is a dedicated linguist, teacher and facilitator, and Coaching Lead at Abbot’s Hill School. Ruth spent 22 years teaching at University College School where she helped to spearhead coaching. Ruth brought her passion for coaching when she moved to her current teaching post and is the school’s first ever Coaching Lead. Ruth is now working towards creating a school-wide coaching culture. Ruth runs regular Graydin courses and workshops, inviting teachers from beyond Abbot’s to attend, helping to support and establish coaching in other local schools. She also designs bespoke coaching tools and activities for use with students. Coaching is thriving at Abbot’s, aligning perfectly with its ethos as a big-hearted, ambitious school with the individual at the centre of every decision.
