Emma Mitchell

Academic Programme Leader, UWC Red Cross Nordic

Dale, Vestland, Norway

Emma is a high school teacher, leader and Start With Heart coaching facilitator. Originally from Northern Ireland, she first worked in London before moving to Norway to experience a more nature-focused society. Emma trained as a coach with Graydin, believing that coaching is the ultimate form of support for students and professional development for educators because of how ‘coachees’ become empowered to forge their own paths. She has also conducted research about choices in post-compulsory education using coaching as a qualitative research instrument. Having facilitated workshops at two schools, for a UK schools membership organisation and at International Baccalaureate Conference, she has become convinced that coaching has a place in all communities - from the local to the global.
