EVENTS OF COACHING DAY 2022
The day will hold a series of workshops tailored for you — whether you’re new to us, alumni or very old friends, plus networking opportunities and space to practise your new and existing coaching skills.
Coaching Day mirrors our Start With Heart model, beginning with Heart, moving to Head and ending with Step.
1. WELCOME + HEART WORKSHOP || 12:00-13.30 GMT / 7:00-8:30 EST
Relationships have the capacity to hinder wellbeing or help it to thrive. In fact, how we are with each other is just as important, if not more important, than the skills we use. Whether you intend to use coaching to be more ‘coach-like’ in your daily conversations or regularly engage in one-to-one coaching sessions, crafting relationships built on trust and connection is vital. This workshop will explore how to develop relationships that invite honesty and vulnerability. We’ll look at the link between coaching and wellbeing, hear directly from educators about their challenges and successes, and more. This workshop will be followed by the opportunity to connect with other attendees and learn first-hand from our incredible community.
BREAK 13:30-13:45 GMT/ 8:30-8:45 EST
2. HEAD WORKSHOP 13:45-15:00 GMT / 8:45-10:00 EST
How do you know when to help someone and how? What makes a topic or issue ideal for coaching? This workshop will focus on coaching skills to address specific wellbeing issues. Plus, it will explore how to help others articulate their challenge and choose the help they need. Whether you’re an experienced alumni or are new to coaching, explore the skills and tools needed to help someone help themselves, and learn a never-been-taught-before coaching tool to add to your repertoire. And like with Heart, dedicated time to network with other attendees will follow.
BREAK 15:00-15:15 GMT / 10:00-10:15 GMT
3. STEP WORKSHOP + CLOSING || 15:15-16:30 GMT / 10:15-11.30
Coaching is most effective when it is embedded into systems and processes to reach as many stakeholders as possible? How can coaching be embedded within a tutoring system? What student peer coaching looks like, and so much more. This workshop will look at the various ways coaching can change the way you currently do things, for the better.
