Lara discovered coaching, through Graydin, almost 10 years ago; during the second course, 'The Journey', she realised the power of coaching. It transformed her life by helping her identify and gain clarity of her values. Coaching has facilitated her personal and professional growth and played a part in becoming Senior Deputy Head of Rugby School. Rugby is a large co-ed full-boarding school that values coaching as a key part of their 'Whole Person, Whole Point' ethos. As a Housemistress, Lara felt that she needed to know all the answers to support the girls in her House. Coaching made her realise that she could help them more effectively by asking questions to enable them to work out their own answers. It felt like a weight lifted from her shoulders! Listening actively and empowering people through effective questioning is a privilege. Lara uses coaching to support colleagues and students and to navigate difficult conversations with parents.
